When the Shoe Doesn't Fit

Use books and logs.

Costume test the day before Filming, everything fits fine apart from the rim of the boots. Oh dear. Luckily we were filming at a fully furnished holiday cottage, using what was round me I was able to stretch the edge of the rim of the boot.

1st, I used a hardback book to open up the boot,

2nd, I used kindle logs to wedge either side to further stretch out the the boots,

3rf, Leave over night.

In the morning...... 'hey presto'... the boots have stretched and are now comfortable for the actor.
