Sealskin is a magical realist drama inspired by Celtic Selkie folklore, where a young girl must choose between her ambitions or her mother's freedom.
Beaulieu
Beaulieu, Palace House Exhibition.
"Last month the staff and visitors of Beaulieu were blessed with the arrival of eight new costumes in Palace House, each one representing a period in Beaulieu’s splendid heritage, covering a timescale from the 13th century to the 1940s." ~ exert from Beaulieu blog.
I was lucky enough to have two designs chosen for this exhibition. The Beaulieu Dress was inspired by different aspects from all over the Beaulieu grounds, as was revealed at the end as a surprise

The military uniform is based on the attire The Hon. Elizabeth Montagu wore whilst serving in the Mechanised Transport Corps during World War II. Made by Beth Rose.

MA Grad Film ‘HOME’ Directed by Meng Hai (謝孟涵)
Emma, a 9-year-old girl, became homeless and was put in a hotel which is divided into two parts, one for the homeless, the other for the guests. One day after school, she accidentally finds a door that leads her to the other part of the hotel. The beauty and grandness of the hotel ballroom dazzle her. In the ballroom, she meets a girl about her age.
Emma is left all alone, wonders through the halls of her side of the hotel.

This was a sourcing project. Based on 'Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl'.
I was given full freedom in how I chose to reimagine the characters. I chose Gloria Steinem (feminist activist and journalist) as the inspiration behind my designs, as she became the for MS magazine. Which is why I genderswapped the family
